Is the sound in my home sent to the cloud?
No. Sound is checked on your own computer. Only when there is an alert, the alert and a 5-second clip go to your phone. Clips are deleted after 7 days.
Which languages does it support?
Words you record yourself work in any language, because sound is matched with sound. The app itself comes first in Turkish and English.
What if the computer turns off?
If the computer's connection drops, your phone gets a "Monitor OFF" alert in about 20 seconds (90 seconds at most). You are also told if someone presses Stop.
How do I delete my account?
In the phone app: Settings → Delete account. Or sign in to the parent dashboard on this site and choose Delete account. Your account is deleted at once.
Can it tell why my baby cries?
No. Research shows the reason for crying cannot be told reliably from sound alone. Guard says what the sound is like (crying, laughing, talking), not why.
Is it a medical device?
No. Guard is a helper. It does not monitor health, and it does not replace a parent's care.
Can I use an old phone as the listener?
It is planned. An old phone will listen in the baby's room, and the alerts will come to your own phone. The first version works with a computer.
Does it work with my camera?
The first version uses the computer's microphone. Camera and IP camera support come in a later phase.
